So far, my thoughts on the book have not been well developed, but just at first glance this was my first impression. After reading the first chapter of The Lightning Thief, I felt that the beginning of the story was very well explained, intruiging, and had me anticipating the next page. A lot of books also overwhelm you with too many details and I found that this book was a little more relaxed and eased you into it. Over all, to conclude, the begining of the book peaked my interest and so far I'm enjoying The Lightning Thief.
I think that it's 4 1/2 stars because it was a really good book, but sometimes waiting for the climax was not as interesting as it could have been, but that's just me. Though everything else I found made it a great story. The important characters were well described, the plot was clear and finally one of the things that I liked the most in the book, were the informative details at the beginning. Most times in books, the start of the story is full of details and overwhelming, but in The Lightning Thief, I found the author made it somehow a lot more interesting, and just not boring. In my opinion, I think this book would suit anyone that likes action or adventure.
